6/14/10- Team rider Luke Kelly Has been on a bit of a contest tear. A copuple weeks ago he placed 2nd at ESA Regionals in New Hampshire and just this past weekend he won NSSA Explorer Juniors and Open Juniors. James Theobald Doing Work!

11/18/09- James Theobald works all summer as a lifeguard in Montauk, New York to stay in shape to surf bombs like the one he caught in front of JC Beierle's camera that made a feature in Easternsurf.com's coverage of Nor'Ida's swell. Then James caught some barrels in New York in front of Matt Clark's carmera and those photos made a feature in Surfline's website. Good work boys!!! Luke kelly Makes Finals

11/5/09- Luke Kelly made the finals of the first stop on Surfing America's East Coast Tour. The event was held in Montauk, NY with the finals being held in 6-8 ft surf with some 10 ft. sets and perfect offshore conditions. You can see more about the event at www.surfline.com

Surf Team News

10/24/09- The Ocean City, NJ "A" team won yesterday and three of the six members in mens were Movement riders - Matt Rink, Zack Kreiser and Jake Kreiser.  Matt, a senior, made it to the final and took 5th overall, Zack (junior) made it to the repercharge and Jake (freshman) made it to the semis.  They all helped accumulate points throughout the day to enable OC to win for the 16th year in a row. Congratulations Boys.

Jake Kreiser also finished in first place for the season in Boys ESA in the SNJ District. With team rider Luke Kelly in thrid place.

8/25/09- Team riders, Matt Rink and Zach Kreiser took a little week long trip down the the OBX to catch some surf before school starts up again this year. They are down there with up-and-coming photog Joe Reign. They caught the tail end of Bills swell and are lokking at getting another swell later this week. Below is just a taste of the photos that will be coming so we'll keep you posted on how they make out.

8/25/09- The other weekend at the Brendan Borek Memorial Surf contest in Avalon, NJ the Movement team posted some solid results with Luke Kelly taking first in the boys division, Brendan Tighe taking third in the junior mens, and Jacques Beningo winning the mans division. Jacques won a new bike for his efforts. Check the photos below.

Better Late than Never . . .

7/9/09- A little while back team rider Brendan Tighe and his friends from North Jersey were featured in a Surfline feature called "When Groms Attack . . .North Jersey. The feature was killer with some great photos of Brendan doing his thing in North Jerz. The feature is cool because all the photos were taken by another grom named Mike Incitti who did a killer job to make the whole thing happen. Great job boys. 5/11/09- Team rider Zach Kreiser gets his photo into the AC Press. Photo was shot by Joe Reighn. Congratulations to the Ocean City High Surf Team for winning the regional finals and making it to the Red Bull main event in California. All the boys were surfing well including fellow Movement team rider Matt Rink and team captain Chris Kelly. Go get 'em boys!

3/4/09- Team riders Brendan Tighe and James Theobold have been getting exposed all over the place during the end of 08 and staight into 09. The boys just got some photos in the Swell Stories on surfline.com entitled Ides of March. Brendan linked up with up and coming photog Mike Incitti somewhere in north Jersey. While James connected with photographer Matt Clark in Long Island. This just days after returning from a 10 day trip to Puerto Rico where he scored warm water waves the whole time. Look for photos from the trip soon. Enjoy.

Brendan Tighe's Grom Zone in New Mundo Rad

2/15/09- Brendan Tighe bagged the latest Grom Zone in the new issue of Mundo Rad. I have been trying to find the issue but haven't come across one but you can check out the issue online at www.mundorad.com Photos were shot by Mike Incitti. I know that Mike and Brendan have been shooting a bunch so keep on the lookout for photos of this due popping up all over the place. Good work boys.

Golden Glove Surf Contest

2/15/09- The 4th Annual Golden Gloves Surfing event is coming to 1st Street Beach in Ocean City, NJ on Feb. 28th. The event is always a fun time and what else do you have to do on a cold Febuary day then hang out at the beach and maybe surf a bit in the cold water to show what you have. It is a great way to get ready for all the contests coming up this spring and summer. Movement will be there representing and giving out some goodies so come by and support a great event.

Coverage

12/8/09- Our team riders have been on quite a media coverage kick lately. In the latest issue of ESM Scott Drages not only has a full page ad with his sponsor Hyperflex Wetsuits but he also got this half page photo in the same issue. The photo is part of the September/ Hurricane season article during which time Scott connected with photog extraordinaire Rich McMullin. Remember those days when the water was warm and the swells where solid.

Team rider Brendan Tighe had a 3/4 page spread in the newest Garden State Surf with this shot from a trip to Costa Rica that he took earlier this year. The photo was shot by lensman Mike Incitti.

Last but not least is this 1/4 page photo of Zach Kreiser taken by Dave Breisacher. It is mistakenly tagged as Matt Rink but Matt is goofy-footed and has dark hair. So unless this is Matt riding switch and with a wig . . .naw it is Zach.

Movement Team riders Matt Rink and Zach Kreiser are featured as part of the Ocean City, NJ high school surf team that has a feature part in "School of Surf: Red Bull Riders Cup". Matt and Zach can be seen throughout both of the below videos as the OC high school surf team is highlighted for their acheivements this past spring during the Red Bull Riders Cup.
